126Foreign Language Friday: His nickname was “Baby” because no-one could pronounce his real, Tibetan name. He’d walked over the snow-ridden Himalayas when 18 to escape from the Chinese. This shot was taken in near darkness on a restaurant rooftop in McLeod Ganj, India, without a flash and handheld, with the aforementioned mountains in the background. This Tibetan proverb says "The beauty of the tiger is outside, the beauty of the human is inside".

"They are the highest mountains inthe world but you can't see the Himalayas from McLeod. :) Those are the Dauladhars."
