1817“Despite being 35 I’ve recently made an extraordinary new friend, something that becomes increasingly difficult to do the older you get,” our subject says in her audio commentary. “She’s a writer and writes the most beautiful emails that I’ve ever seen. It’s like a return to the 1930s.

“She has made clear to me that one must never be afraid to let somebody know who you really are deep inside – that small, tiny, vulnerable, crying, childish part. Because really that’s the one thing that remains constant throughout our lives.

“We’re all terrified of letting people know who we really are. We fake things, we pretend, we make them up. But the person who we really are should be know, and we shouldn’t be afraid to let that out.” Taken in Great Portland Street, London, UK.
