2267“I was going through a bit of a change in my life,” says Davinia, who has her own blog.

“I’m from Malta, I’ve lived here all my life and I wanted to move away, explore the world. I’d just been accepted to do a masters in Dublin. Obviously I wanted to do it but I had doubts and reservations.

“I was speaking to a friend of mine who told me of a story, one of Aesop’s fables. He told me the one about the sun and the wind, who were bored. There was a man wearing a jacket and they made a bet to see which one could get him to remove it.

“So the wind went first and he blew and he blew, and the man only kept the jacket closer to him. The sun just shone, and the man took the jacket off.

“My friend told me that this is what I have to do in my life. I have to be like the sun.”
