312This man is, among many other clever and impressive things, an author. His latest book is Sunshine: One Man's Search For Happiness.

He is also a former hairdresser who, as a teenager without A Levels who enjoyed reading Penguin Classic novels in his lunch hours, decided that he wanted an education after all. So he ended up at Oxford University, where he became a don, and then later got a job as head of Penguin Classic novels.

His SOTM comes from his last girlfriend, who said it as they split up. He then had to rush to his publisher, only a day or two before publication, to change his book's dedication as it had originally been made in her name.
