1466This is the whirlwhind of artistry that is Gregory Kirschenbaum, who I found on a street in the Meatpacking District of New York, flogging some of his artwork. The very definition of flamboyant, after much scintillating conversation he agreed to take part in Someone Once Told Me.

He explains in his audio clip that this phrase was said to him by his Hungarian grandmother.

“Her grandmother had told her mother that, and so on and so forth,” he says. “I’m about the fifth or sixth generation with that expression in my family. I’ve heard it ever since I was a child, and I live that way every day.”
