1434Robin Fox submitted her SOTM from Durango, CO, USA. She wrote: “Ever since I was seven years old, I have not had the greatest relationship with my dad. We have been fighting for close to nine years, and one night he hit me, not for the first time, but for the first time in a long time. I was so shocked.

“The boy I was seeing and I had been texting before that, and were still texting after. But once my dad hit me, my replies to him became very short, one word answers. He asked me if I was okay, and I said no. For about 10 minutes he didn't reply, and then out of no where, he is at my house hugging me.

“I told him my story, and he said ‘You do not deserve that. You have every right to a beautiful life, and I wish your dad could realize it.’

“I cried myself to sleep that night, not because my dad hit me, but because I finally found one nice guy. That night ment more to me then he will ever, ever know.”
