237This quite brilliant photograph of a pupil from William Ellis school in north London was taken in Italy - she actually submitted 15 to choose from. She looks like sorrow personified, and the clouds lend much drama. She wrote: "My mum took the photos for me, even though she didn't know how to use my camera properly. Still, they were nice photos anyway. The message was told to me by my mum, just after receiving bad exam results." Unsurprisingly she was once approached by a modelling agency. The subject, that is, not her mum.
